Sears Home Improvement Products & Services (SHIPS) - part 1 of 2
In 1998 Sears, Roebuck & Company reached an agreement with Spray-tech to become a wholly owned subsidiary. In 1999, Sears finalized the addition of another major home improvement company, American Home Improvement Products (AHIP), which had the strategic control of the northwestern and northeastern regions of the United States. The purchase of AHIP led to an eventual merger in January 2001, as a combined wholly-owned subsidiary known as Sears Home Improvement Products and Services (a.k.a SHIPS). |
